If you travel regularly, you may have joined frequent flyer programs. A reality of many company and personal pocketbooks is that you may not always fly your favorite airline. You likely already noticed that earning a few miles in 10 different frequent flyer plans can prevent you from ever redeeming a meaningful travel reward.
So here's a solution: There are a couple of large frequent flyer program alliances that allow you to accrue miles from partner airlines, hotels, or credit cards. I suggest choosing a frequent flyer program or two from each large network based on your travel preferences (or perhaps the one that flies most conveniently to your favorite award destinations), then make sure to select the partner miles program upon check-in to accure flight miles in the plan of your choice. 50,000 miles in each of two plans is a LOT more useful than 10,000 miles in 10 plans!
